The Tribute tour, Only 48 concerts worldwide

By 2017, it is 20 years ago, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan died at the age of just 48. Still today his music and lyrics are praised worldwide.

Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is his nephew and artistic heir to travel around the world to honor his memory musically, culturally and personally.

Qawwal is traditional music associated with sufism, Islamic mysticism and spirituality. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whose musical heritage dates back more than 600 years, is recognized to spread qawwal to a wider international audience. That's why it's central to the nephew to travel around the world, to pay homage to the tradition of major international scenes.

The three-hour long concert is divided into two divisions: The first part is a tribute to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with the delightful sounds of qawwal, which has stirred so many people for decades. The second part of the concert focuses on Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's own hits, which are known for example from film and television.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has his own line of hits, that are used in Bollywood movies and not at least serieals from Pakistan.

You will get a joyful evening packed with a fusion of qawwal and popular desi music.
